Chinese New Year

On February 2nd, as has become the custom in recent years, we went on a whole-school visit to the Silk Road Restaurant at Heacham to consolidate our learning about the Chinese New Year customs and traditions.  When we arrived our hosts showed us several informative videos before a question and answer session, with fortune cookies as prizes! After that we enjoyed a delicious meal before the Reception and KS1 children entertained the rest of the school by wearing masks, playing instruments and parading around the restaurant.

This has become a traditional event in our school calendar and we are grateful to Mr Chang and his staff for allowing us to visit the restaurant.
