Djembe Workshop

On Tuesday this week we all experienced a Djembe drumming workshop with Steve Arber. The workshops took place in groups in the Village Hall and everyone had the opportunity to play different Djembes, experimenting with different rhythms and drumming techniques. Steve has a collection of other percussion instruments from around the world and the children used these alongside the Djembes to enhance the drumming rhythms.

Everyone enjoyed their workshop and some really exciting sounds could be heard coming from the Village Hall all morning!

We are looking forward to Steve’s next visit when we will be learning to play the Didgeridoo!
