Outdoor Area Makeover!

Our Outdoor Learning space began to have a grand makeover just before Christmas. On the day that the work began all the children were very excited to watch seven huge bags of sand being craned over the hedge! They all thought that the sand was for a giant sand pit so were a bit disappointed to see it being spread out to form a base for the surface!

As the week progressed everyone became more and more excited about the prospect of playing in the new space.

 

At the end of the week the finishing touches were added….a road track and a target for games.

 

 

 

 

We are delighted with our new area so far and are looking forward to adding the next stage in our plans, a mud kitchen and a digging and den-building area.
