Compassion in Action !
This half term we have been thinking about the Christian value of compassion. We have been talking about how we can help people, sometimes when we have to make a sacrifice to do so. Mrs Wright sent me this amazing photo of Elizabeth, who had decided herself to have hair cut off, for the charity The Little Princess Trust. Through sponsorship Elizabeth single handily raised £500 so far, as well as, of course, the hair donation which will be used to make a wig for someone who is poorly with cancer and is losing their hair.
What a fabulous example of compassion to inspire us all. We are so proud of you Elizabeth and your new hair cut really suits you too.
Here is a photo of Elizabeth at Mrs Underwood’s salon, just before her hair was cut. A full 15 inches of hair was cut!
