World Book Day 2018
Our World Book Day celebration was originally planned for Friday March 2nd. However, along with most other schools in Norfolk, we were closed for the second half of the week due to ‘The Beast from the East’!
We rescheduled our event to the following week and, once again, were amazed by the originality of the costumes that our pupils arrived at school in.
We started the day with an assembly to enable everybody (including parents) to see and admire everyone else’s costume. We played ‘Name the character’ and I think that we were able to identify them all!
Back in our classes we all enjoyed Literary-based activities, including decorating a piece of bunting with a picture from our favourite books. These will be strung together and used to adorn our new Library space.
Thanks to Mrs Reddey for capturing all the pictures and to all theĀ staff for helping me to select the most original costume for each Year group…an unenviable task as there were so many fabulous creations!
Finally a massive thank you to all of our wonderful parents for all your support in assembling your children’s costumes.
