KS1 entertain us for May Day!
After a few days of cool, changeable weather we were delighted that the sun shone brightly this morning for our annual Maypole dancing celebration. Mrs Battelley has been working hard with our KS1 children in preparation for our May Day celebration, and we were pleased to welcome a crowd of parents too. The children treated us to a display of simple and more complicated dances, including a dance called ‘The witch’s hat’, where the ribbons were woven around the pole before being unwoven again. Parents and older pupils were invited to join in with the final dance, which was enjoyed by all!
Mrs Battelley certainly deserves our huge thanks for all her patience and support, and well done to all the pupils in Years 1 and 2 as well…you were all stars!
