KS1 Brazilian Assembly

Our KS1 assembly went superbly. The children put so much work into making it a fabulous display for their parents. The topic has covered many aspects of the curriculum, with a particular focus on Geography and Design and Technology. The children have looked at the human and physical features that Brazil has and then compared them with Scotland.

They have looked at the seven continents and identified Brazil within South America. They have learnt about the Amazon Rainforest; the animals that live there, the four layers of the forest and the threats to its ecology.

The Design and Technology came from our tie-dye T.shirts- which all turned out fantastically, the traditional Brazilian street food;pastels (minced beef parcels) and paja de queso (cheesy bread) and our amazing famous Brazilian people puppets that the children had designed and made through their homework and in class.
