Netball News – Bee Fliers

Bee Fliers Netball

at KES Tuesday 29th March

Twelve boys and girls from years 3 and 4 attended this festival along with 10 other teams. They were all divided into 3 pools and played each other rotating into another set of pools and once again playing each other, unfortunately there was not enough time to complete this round. Four children were on court, a third of a full size netball court, at a time, 2 defenders and 2 attackers who were rotated on and off court after each game, basic netball rules were adhered to and at times it was quite hectic. Both teams did very well and there was a distinct improvement as the morning progressed. Although some of them were a little nervous it was a good introduction into the game and it certainly helps playing against other schools.

There were lots of smiles and positive comments from the children on the day and their parents the next. It was great to see the younger ones playing and being competitive.

Thank you to Mrs Garrard too.

Well done Jaime, Neve, Elsa, Lacey, Pip, Amelia, Foster, Lenny, Dylan, Charlie, William, Isaac D.
