WW2 trip year 3 and 4

Year 3 and 4 have been on a trip to support their studies of World War 2. They had a fabulous time and just look at the feedback about our amazing children!

Subject: school visit to the NNR

Dear Mrs Gardener,

I am writing on behalf of Libby Henshaw, David Parmenter and myself Chris Parmenter.  We are all volunteers at the NNR and for years were part of the education team which sadly is no more. Libby is a retired teacher herself.,

We had the pleasure of entertaining your lovely years 3 and 4 when they came for a day out and to see our beautiful Railway Cottage, Museum and Model Railway.

We want to tell you that they were a real joy to interact with, and we were able to have a lot of fun whilst they learned more about the WW2 project they are doing in school.  Their families and yourselves must be incredibly proud of them.  They are a credit to you all.

The teachers also were so interactive and helpful. Clearly there is much mutual respect between teachers and pupils and it really shows in their behaviour and knowledge and willingness to learn.

We hope they took away some useful memories and that they had a lovely day.  We would love to see any photos that were taken by your staff.  We certainly  enjoyed it as much as they seemed to.

Kind regards and best wishes

Chris Parmenter  NNR re- enactment volunteer.
