CROSS COUNTRY FINALS

Cross Country Finals @ Lynnsport

09.11.23

Our 3 top 10 finalists took part in the West Norfolk Cross Country Finals on Thursday; this meant each of their races had between 40 and 50 participants. It was a sunny morning with a chilly head wind; thankfully the course was familiar, having completed it in the qualifying round. Once again it was top ten who would qualify for the County Finals which this year is going to be held at High Lodge in Thetford.

A few nerves appeared but once the racing started they were busy cheering each other on. Cooper was the first to race, yr3, and ran a very creditable 29th, next up was Neve, yr6, who exceeded her expectations finishing strongly in 16th and finally in the last race of the morning was Dylan who once again finished well to take 15th position.

Although we had no qualifiers for the next round, the children ran their very best races and really could not have done more; they put themselves in the right places, listening to advice but very big gaps developed, stringing out the fields, which proved difficult to bridge.

We were all very proud of them.

Super Effort Neve, Dylan and Cooper.
