Houghton Hall
We had a fabulous day at Houghton Hall at the end of January. After dropping off our lunch boxes in the Education Centre we walked over to the woods, investigating the vast slate moon art installation on the way.
We had a great time in the woods. Everyone had to find a suitable stick so that we could all make Wish Wands. We peeled our sticks and then decorated them with felt pens before using ribbon to tie on leaves and feathers as finishing touches. They all looked beautiful! We also did some bark-rubbing and found some dens to play in.
After lunch we explored the Walled Garden. The garden is divided into different sections and is a really interesting place to visit. We followed the leader through the maze, looked for 2D shapes around the garden and had a tree counting race.
By popular request we finished our day in the Adventure Playground!
Everyone had a lovely day, the weather was perfect and we can’t wait to go back again!
