Year 3 and 4 Bee Netball Festival
This event, held at Lynnsport, is an introduction therefore no scores were taken, to playing netball but on a smaller court and only 2 attackers and 2 defenders. 14 schools from the West Norfolk area took part in the morning session; there was a similar run one in the afternoon. There were 4 pools that after the first round rotated into a new set of 4 pools. The rules are the same, as are the objectives, to not concede any nets but to score. For our children it was a good opportunity to play against other schools which is vastly different to being against children they know. They were all a little wary to begin with but gradually got into it. It was also a good way of introducing children who haven’t played before as they had the support and encouragement of the others. It proved very positive with everyone improving over the 6 games they played but most of all they all appeared to enjoy it which is the most important.
