Success in the Sun at Lynnsport

On Monday, 28th April, our Town Cluster winning Netball team played in the West Norfolk Finals against other cluster qualifiers. In total there were 7 teams who played each other in a round robin format, whoever gets the most points wins, unlike other tournaments which have been pool matches, semis and finals.

The teams we played were Ingoldisthorpe, Smithdon cluster winners, Eastgate, Denver, Downham cluster winners, Nelson, Docking and Terrington, Terrington cluster winners. Five of the six games were played back to back which kept our momentum and enthusiasm going.

The results were extremely good with everyone scoring, we won 5 games clearly scoring 5 or more nets in each and drew 1 against Eastgate 4-4 which was extremely exciting and nerve wracking, their resilience to keep coming back was immense and truly showed how well they support and encourage each other and have developed as a team. It really did get quite warm but their level of play never dropped.

This drew comments from other coaches who complemented them in their play and attitude and how deserved the winners spot was. I was very proud to hear that and for parents to witness their success and what it means to us all. They are a super group of children and they couldn’t have achieved it without the rest of the club helping them.

 Fantastic Job, Team Sandringham!
