Successful Sports…
Smithdon Cluster Area Sports
@ Smithdon High School 02/07/25
Following the cancellation of our own Cluster Area Sports we managed to get a place on the Smithdon event. It was a warm evening but there was a bit of breeze which made it ideal. Nine schools took part in various track and field events for years 2-6, in-between there were relay and tunnel ball races which they all enjoyed. For 2 hours it was nonstop and quite hectic which kept the children busy as well as the adults.
The evening was highly competitive with our children rising to the occasion and producing some fantastic performances, with many finishing in the top 3, unfortunately medals were only awarded to winners. Everyone finished with a smile and said they had had a really good time which is what it’s all about.
However we did come away with 3 gold medals, Claudia in the skipping race, Nyla in the 600m endurance race and Pip in the howler throw. Everyone was very happy, supporting and celebrating together as one.
Thank you to all the parents for supporting so we could field a competitor in every event!
Well done
