School Development Plan
Sandringham and West Newton is always striving to secure the best possible outcomes for all of our pupils. Each year we work together with all stake holders to devise a development plan, that looks at key areas of school improvement.
The School Development Plan is an essential framework guiding our strategic goals and objectives at the Sandringham Federation. It encapsulates our commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in education, reflecting our vision and values as an institution.
School staff actively engage with the School Development Plan during our designated INSET training days, ensuring that all pedagogical practices are aligned with our outlined priorities. To gain a comprehensive understanding of our community’s perspectives, we collect parent opinions through regular surveys, supplemented by ongoing liaison with the PTA. This collaborative approach acknowledges the invaluable input of our parents, enhancing our decision-making processes.
Pupils also play a pivotal role in shaping our School Development Plan. Through their involvement in house teams and the school council, students can voice their ideas and suggestions for school improvement. These contributions are collated by the Headteacher, ensuring that the diverse views of our school community are considered. The collected ideas undergo thorough review by the governing body, thus enhancing accountability and transparency within our development initiatives.
We employ a traffic light system to regularly update the plan, providing a clear visual representation of our progress against the designated milestones. This systematic approach enables us to identify areas that require further attention while celebrating our successes. All of our activities are conducted within the firm Christian principles and ethos that underpin our school, guiding us in our quest for academic and holistic excellence.
In the 2025-2026 academic year, we will be focussing on the following priorities; improving academic outcomes for all students, enhancing mental well-being support, and promoting a sustainable learning environment that aligns with our commitment to social responsibility. We look forward to working collaboratively to achieve these objectives, ensuring a bright future for our pupils and the wider community.
