Good Evening,
I hope that you all had a lovely holiday. Please find attached a welcome back letter and the home learning for the week. The home learning menu provides 5 activities for Reading, Writing, Spellings, Maths and Curriculum. Choose 1 activity from each column, each day. This way, the learning for the week is available. In the table, there are hyperlinks link to useful resources, videos and activities to support you and your children.
Do get in touch with any questions or queries, hos@sandringhamwestnewton.norfolk.sch.uk.
With Kind Regards,
Mrs King

Well done to those of you who logged onto their Charanga accounts to access the music lesson that I uploaded before Easter. Charanga have made the schemes even easier to work on at home by adding a nice description of activities to work on each time you visit the site. If you have mislaid the email with your personal login details, then email me jpatnell@swn.dneat.org to let me know and I will send them to you again. If you access the YUMU section then you will see Big Bear Funk attached to your child’s account. Click on the launch button and it will provide access to all you need for around 5/6 individual music lessons, alongside some good suggestions on how to work at home. They are really straight forward and they work on the skills that I have already taught the children in our previous music lessons at school. Don’t forget to add observations of their achievements to Tapestry. Thank you. Enjoy yourselves!

There are three of these eggcellent (hee hee) science experiments for you to try at home. I don’t mind if you choose to do them over one week or if you spread them out,one each week for three weeks. The children will probably come out with some brilliant quotes when observing the results, if you could record them and add them to your Tapestry observations then this will be perfect. Thank you so much to those of you who put really brilliant observations on for the previous science experiment with the food colouring and kitchen towel, these were really fab!egg-science-experiments-at-home-_ver_1

Dear Pupils, We have been invited to take part in a nature photography competition and I expect some of you will be enjoying being out in the garden in this lovely weather, so maybe you would like to take a picture and make an entry. Closing date is August, so you have plenty of time to enter.

Henry has been reading about nature today and wanted to share the favourite page of his book. A lovely illustration.
