September 2022 | Useful Information for this half term

Posted on October 3rd, 2022

Welcome back everyone!

We have an exciting half term ahead to keep the children busy and save them from reminiscing about the summer holidays.

I have attached the Timetable, Newsletter and Half Termly overview for reference.

Don’t forget swimming kit for Wednesday afternoon and Forest School and PE will alternate on a Thursday afternoon –  PE Week 1/Forest School Week 2.

Tackling Tables will take place on Timestable Tuesday. We will be reissuing log-in details for Tackling Tables and Sumdog. If at any point you need these again, don’t hesitate to pop in and ask.

It is important to record all reading at home in the reading journals provided. Please aim for 3/4 times per week.

Look at for details about a trip to the Cambridge Botanical Gardens coming soon!

Warm Regards,

Mrs Adams, Mrs King and Mrs Garrard

Our BBC Radio Interview and TV interviews

Posted on September 14th, 2022

Well done children for sharing our lovely memories of Her Majesty on ITV Anglia and on BBC Radio Norfolk.  We received some lovely feedback. Here their interview here:-

I would also just like to say that I think the pupils did themselves and the school proud on ITV and the radio. Absolute credit to school teachers.

Thank you so much! Much love and God bless Xx

Mini Tennis !

08/07/22

On a hot sunny Friday morning 2 boys and 2 girls from years 5 and 6 took part in a Mini Tennis Development Festival, at Lynnsport.  As in previous weeks no scores were taken officially, however the first to get to 7 points won the game.  Six teams took part and every team played each other twice, this meant that each person played 8 games, 40 games. As with the previous tennis festivals we wanted to end the morning on a 20/20 win/lose ratio and the children were extremely happy to achieve this, in fact it was 22/18 with some very near misses at 6-7. It was certainly a good experience.

Well played Pixie, Harriet, Sam, Harry.

Sports Round Up 2021/22

What a difference a year makes!

Our School Partnership Team has provided us with a huge amount of opportunities this year, to make sport fun for everyone and not just competitive, to engage our children in a variety of sports, from the more unusual, Ultimate Frisbee and Curling to the more traditional, Cricket, Netball and Tag Rugby. We have been lucky enough to attend the festivals and competitions, only a handful, that accompanies these sports with increasing enjoyment and success. Competition success came in the form of; Mini Tennis team qualifying for the Norfolk Games at Norwich, Cross Country runners going on to the next round and the Netball team joint 1st at Smithdon.

It is super to see the children develop, learn new skills and see and hear so many of them say I really enjoyed that.

This has culminated in Sandringham being awarded the Gold Sports mark Badge.

Well Done Everyone!

Have a great summer!

PS, note from Headteacher, Mrs Gardener – we are delighted to be awarded the Gold Sports Mark, and would like to say a huge thank you to Miss Leftley, without whom none of this would have happened. Miss Lefltley coordinates all of our sport in school and through her hard work , the children receive these wonderful opportunities to compete and try new sports.

3 cheers for Miss Leftley!

01/07/22

This morning 2 boys and 2 girls from years 3 and 4 took part in a Mini Tennis Development Festival, at Lynnsport. There were 11 schools taking part which meant we were divided into pools with each player having 6 games. The games were umpired by High School Team Leaders and although scores were not officially recorded it was the first player to 7 who won to end the game. They were all very supportive in both the rules and coaching the game.  Despite the rain shower mid-morning, spirits were not dampened and they managed to win more games that they lost with some very close calls.

The aim of the festival was to learn something new and have fun which going by their smiles, they did.

Well done!

Jaime, Neve, Lenny and Isaac D

Norwich Sports Park Mini Tennis Competition

Monday 27th June

The Final was a huge event with 32 Primary schools from across Norfolk taking part but the children did themselves proud and narrowly missed out, settled on countback results, on qualifying for the last 16 competition. They played well, improving with each game and enjoyed the experience immensely which will stand them in good stead moving forward.

Thank you Mums and Dads for your support and a Super Well Done to;

Elsa, Pip, Dylan and Foster
