Welcome back to Year 3 and 4!

I hope that you are feeling refreshed after your summer break and that you are ready for another fun and learning packed year.

This year we also welcome Mrs Tillbrook who will be teaching the class Monday-Wednesday.  After a move up to Norfolk from Plymouth, I know that she is extremely excited to get started and get to know all of you.

Take a look at the Autumn newsletter and curriculum map, these will provide further information about this half term.

As always, if you have anything that you need to discuss, do get in touch.

SSP Rounders Festival July 2021

SSP Rounders Festival July 2021

Just when we thought we could finally take part in some very carefully planned competitions, the weather caused both the Tennis and Kwik Cricket to be cancelled; however, Friday was a lovely day for Rounders at the West Norfolk Rugby Club. As it was a festival no scores were recorded, we produced some great catches and runs but it was more about learning the skills and having fun, which we did. Using some of the skills we learnt in Junior Leaders with Mr Dickson our children then taught the rest of the class in their afternoon PE lesson.

Four other schools took part alongside us, Dersingham, St Germans, Holy Cross and Middleton.  We played football rounders against Holy Cross and St Germans and more traditional rounders against Dersingham and Middleton.

Everyone had lots of fun and enjoyed the morning, Mrs Marson and myself agreed, how lovely it was to be taking part in such events.

Well Done! Kaden, Pleasance, Daisy, Darcie, Maisey, William, Cole, Joshua and Dexter, who was picked out for showing all round enthusiasm and skill.

A huge thank you to Miss Leftley for organising and Mrs Marson for also accompanying.

A dash of courage…

Posted on April 25th, 2021

Last week, Caitlin, in Year 6, shared her news about how she faced her phobia of dogs.

She used all the courage she had and walked her uncle’s dog. This also then led to her playing fetch with the dog too.

What a massive achievement for Caitlin and a super example of how ‘courage’ is a powerful quality, and our Christian Value for this half term.

Well done Caitlin!

On Monday,

The Year 6’s were presented with their Leavers Hoodies by our Chair of Governors, Mr Wood.

Although it was not how we usually do this, the sun was thankfully shining for this special moment.
